Diane Von Furstenberg Wrap Dress Pattern (Missing Instruction Page): Vogue 1610

10 June 2010 No Comment

OMG! Words cannot express how excited I was to find V1610 in my size for sale on Etsy for $13.99 plus shipping (don’t hate me) !!! Seriously. I almost dropped my laptop when I saw the price because I’ve had my eye on this pattern and I’ve seen it listed for $95 and up. Clearly, I didn’t have to think twice before I snatched it up for $16.49.

It arrived in good condition, but I was disappointed to discover that a few critical steps appear to be missing or omitted for Dress A even though I have all 4 pages. The instructions for Dress B and C reference the instructions for the bodice and neckband for Dress A (p. 4), but I don’t see any instructions on page 3 regarding how to construct the bodice or neckband. The instructions at the top of page 3 begin with “Easestitch upper edge of sleeve 5” (Pages 1-2 only include the fabric layouts) and conclude with the instructions for constructing the skirt and attaching it to the bodice (page 4 describes how to turn the self-facings to the inside and sew the hem).

If you have this pattern please let me know if I am overlooking something or missing a page. If so, I would be extremely grateful for a photograph of the missing sheet. I contacted Vogue Patterns but they do not have the instruction sheet since the pattern is so old. Please let me know if you have any ideas about how I can find someone who may have this pattern.

UPDATE: Two of my blog readers were kind enough to email me the missing instruction sheet. Thanks Eileen and Vivienne!
