New McCall’s Summer Patterns

12 June 2010 No Comment

Since Gail K Fabrics closed at 4PM today, I decided to take the edge off by heading over to the $.99 McCall’s pattern sale at Hancock Fabrics. I forgot to bring my list of patterns with me and I couldn’t access the list I stored in Yahoo Notepad from my Palm Pre (I couldn’t scroll down far enough to see the McCall’s patterns in my browser), so I was relieved that I found them in the front pages of the McCalls patterns book. I was actually surprised that I managed to find new summer patterns that I didn’t already own until I got home and realized that I had already purchased M6113 during the Memorial Day Sale. I hate it when that happens, but I’m glad I only paid $.99. I guess I need to take the time to create a log of all of the patterns in my collection so I can access it from my cell phone.

I love the asymmetrical hems on the first two, but I debated about M5801. I think the sleeveless version could be cute if I shortened the skirt to right above the knee. I also think it could make a cute top! I also debated about M6116, but I like the version without the pockets. I purchased M6112 because the hot pink dress with the cut out shoulders reminded me of a cute mini-skirt romper I spotted at Arden B (minus the V neck).
