Sexy 1960′s Vintage Bombshell Dress Pattern (McCall’s 6998)

24 January 2011 5 Comments

Here’s my latest vintage evening dress purchase. Isn’t it fabulous? And it’s even uncut! I think it’s definitely very classy and Va-va-voom despite its simplicity.  I am looking forward to making the cocktail length version one of these days. I need fabric ideas. Please share!

I love this, it reminds me of a dress I saw in the Barbare tfank collection, so beautiful

Thanks! I haven’t sewn it yet, but it’s one of my favorite vintage patterns.

Greetings, SisTah. I stumbled upon your blog because I was searching for Fabric World in Stone Mountain, GA where I have shopped for many years. Like you, I love to sew and have been sewing faithfully and daily for over 40 years. My home sewing led me to my own website.
As for this dress pattern…I love it! You might want to check out http://www.vlisco.com. Their fabrics would suit this pattern style perfectly. Also, be inspired by their fashion line. Peace and love!
